hw do you put your 4 month old to sleep at night and for naps

my DD will not sleep in her bassinette. I am ashamed to say that she sleeps with us. I just got to the point where i was a walking zombie at night and i need to get some sleep. SHe wakes up alot during the night. During the day i BF her and she goes to sleep but if i try to move her she wakes up. I want to put her in her crib. how do you put your DC to bed and down for naps at this age. I have a 2 year old and i can't remember. He was always such a great sleeper.

in her carseat I work at night until 2am and I dont go to bed until 3-4 am and get up at 6:30 am with my other 2 to get them ready for school so I definately need my nap and thats where she likes it best

I'm fortunate that both my DC went to bed in their crib from day 1. They never gave me a problem. I mean they woke to eat like every other newborn, but didn't mind the crib.

Neither started napping in their crib until closer to 5 months. DD napped on her belly on the couch next to me and DS slept in the swing. At 5 months I put them in the crib. They would cry, but I would keep them in there and rub their back or belly until they fell asleep. After about 2 weeks they started napping in the crib no problem. I just put them in and walk out with them awake. They play for about 10 minutes and go to sleep. I do let them have small stuffed animals. That always gave them something to play with.

Neither gave me a problem after a few weeks.

Don't be ashamed!!! whatever works wehn you are sleep deprived. I carry DS around until he passes out otherwise he won't lay in his basinett, he is 9 wks old, but I don't see this problem going away anytime soon. on the weekends when he wakes up early, DH puts him in our bed next to him to get an extra hour of sleep

Kristina would have to be rocked at that point, and she loved having her vibrations from her PNP.

I wanted her to 'know' that her bassinet was only for night time sleeping, so I used her PNP for naps only.
