Hurt My Neck -- Know Any Good Remedies
I don't even know how this happened but I've got an awful pain on the left side of my neck. i'm going to a chiropractor/friend in a few days but in the meantime, does anyone have any good suggestions of how to dull the pain? Ouch! It hurts to turn my neck.

That happened to me two weeks ago--and it hurt for nearly 2 weeks, but I put a heating pad on to loosen it up, or you could try a hot shower. I also took ibuprofen!

Yes definitely use hot pads and tylenol. That will help loosen up the muscle. It should start to feel better.

Maybe you slept funny and have a kink in your neck. I would stretch your neck when your in the shower while the warm water is hitting it. You can also put a heating pad on it to help loosen it up.

Thanks! A hot pad worked pretty well...I slept with it on my neck. Not perfect, but better.

My lower back is killing me and I put one of those pads on, took tylenol and it worked great. The pads last up till 8 hours.

OMG- I just posted about this on a different site!! I can't turn my neck to the left- it's killing me!!!
The only suggestion I keep getting is to take a long hot shower and let the HOT water run on it in hopes that it will loosen it up. Hope you feel better sooN!

I have bulging diskcs in my neck....if I feel the pian coming on or pull it and it gets all inflamed, I start by icing first. Heat later. I take Aleve becuase its an anti-inflammatory, or Naproxen.
