how to phrase email?

my boss just sent an email that he will be out of the office tomorrow because his wife will be having a "procedure".

i want to say i hope all goes well... how exactly would i phrase the email?

XXX,

hope all goes well with your wife, tomorrow.

ME

?

would that suffice?

I would just keep it short and simple. reply back to him (make sure not to hit REPLY ALL lol) saying

"Hope all goes well tomorrow" or "Good luck tomorrow."

I probably wouldn't mention it at all unless you have a close relationship with him. If you did really want to say something, I'd write "Good luck tomorrow, see you on Friday." But I dont think I'd say anything.

But note that in your original message the comma isn't really necessary if you decide to write something like that. Chat Icon

I agree. I wouldn't mention it. Maybe I'd say something if I see him before then, like in passing, "I hope everything goes well."
