How much to spend on a gift??
We are going to a birthday party on Sunday and both my kids are invited. NOw much should I spend on a gift for a birthday boy considering both my kids will be coming. What is customary?

If it's family I might say $40/$50 because I'd probably do a toy and outfit but if it's a friend...maybe $25/$30

i would spend the amount you would normally spend for each child if they were going to 2 separate parties...
so if you usually spend $25, then i would spend $50 ($25 from each child)
