How much Newborn clothing do you have?
I just realized I only have:
Her coming home outfit
1 pack of 5 short sleeve white onesies
1- long sleeved feetie pajamas
1- 3 pack of short sleeve pretty onesies
1- 2 pack of pants that go with the pretty onesies...
What else should I get in NB size??

I have a ton but I have a child already. Definately get more sleepers. My so pee'd through a lot so I was constantly changing him.

have enough onesies, sleep n plays, knit outfits, bibs, cloth diapers/burp clothes to last AT LEAST a week without doing laundry.
As for Newborn size....it depends on the baby. DD was 7 lbs 10 oz and was in newborn size for awhile despite being over the 11 lb "limit" for newborn size. Certain brands run bigger IMO (Carter's, Circo, Gymboree whereas Old NAvy ran small for us).
Plus, baby clothes are notorious for shrinkage.
New moms are lucky to be able to get dressed with a newborn due to lack of sleep. you want to bond, sleep, and deal with visitors and laundry was the LAST thing on my mind.

ITA..DS came home weighing 7lbs 11oz and wore newborn size sleepers from cater's for a month and by his one month visit he was 10lbs. He was still curled in a little ball so I think that is why they were still able to fit him. I loved them because they have cuff to cover their hands. I also felt like they did shrink. I also did laundry for him every other day and had quiet a few sleepers and undershirts but between him leaking through diapers or spitting up he went thought alot of cloths the 6 weeks. I also wouldnt wash all the newborn cloths you have and keep the tags and receipts just incase your baby is bigger.

According to DH, I have too much newborn clothing and to me, not enough. 
Seriously, I have 3 Newborn outfits, 1 pack of (5) white onesies, 1 pack of (5) cute patterned onesies, his coming home outfit and that's it.
We also have several 0-3 mos outfits which I'm figuring could double for newborn if needed.

I have zero Newborn sizes. I think what you have is enough.
All my stuff is 0-3, and she grew out of all it around 2-2.5 months old. I am glad i didn't buy newborn size. SHe got so much wear out of her sleepers, t-shirts and outfits, and so what i had to cuff her sleeves for a little while :)
DD was born 7lbs 2ozs too.

HE will probably never get to wear most of it, but Im a "clothes"shopper.
He had like 8-9 pairs of shoes already too

I don't have a lot of NB stuff either. I think you have more than me. I didn't want to go crazy with NB clothing because what if your baby is big? The NB size is only up to 8lbs.

I returned almonst all of my newborn stuff for larger sizes. My baby is already 8 1/2 lbs and I still havent had him. I have a few 0-3 mo. and mostly 3-6 mo.

No newborn, as DD was 8 pounds 15 ounces when she was born, so I figure this baby will be just as big or bigger. We have alot of 0-3 though.
