How many total hours does your 3 year old sleep?

DD barely sleeps now. She used to sleep 8 - 7 and nap 1.5 hours. Now she sleeps 9:30 - 6 with no nap. By 5pm she's a monster. She does have "quiet time" in her bed from 1 - 3 (once in a while she'll conk out) and she's in bed by 8:30pm (but doesn't fall asleep right away.)

Does that seem like enough sleep? What can I do to change her schedule to help?

at a little over 2 1/2 years old... DS sleeps from 9pm - 7-7:30am (lately its been until 8am)

no naps either.

maybe try putting her down to bed earlier?

good luck, we went through a period like that as well.... he wouldnt go to bed until 10:30-11 and wake up at 6am (with NO nap)

so DH & I said he cannot go to bed any later than 9.

on school days he is down by 8:30 (he goes to school m-w-f)

DD won't be 3 until June.

She's never been a big sleeper....just like me, she can exist on few hours of sleep

She's usually asleep by 8:30pm at the latest, up by 6:30am. She'll generally nap for about 1.5-2 hours 4 days a week (when she's at MIL's or sitter's), usually 2-2.5 hours on the days we're home.

But she definitely doesn't make up for sleep when she's extra tired....if she misses a nap, that night and usually the next day are nightmares I'm actually wondering how she will adjust when she starts school full-time in the Fall

NOT ENOUGH!!
I try to get her in bed between 730-8 and she has to be up at 545 so we can leave. She naps at school for an hour and at home on weekends I make her nap and sometimes it can be 1.5-3 hours.

I believe that at 3, they should be getting around 12 hours of total sleep a day.

we are going through the same thing right now... David (he will be 3 in June)used to be asleep by 8:30 and sleep till at least 7 plus take a 2 hour nap during the day... right now it takes him an hour or more to fall asleep and thats with no nap most of the time and he wakes up at 6-6:30... I am hoping that it is just a phase

DD is 3 1/2 and before I took the binky away she used to sleep from 8pm - 8am (on average). No nap since age 2. Now I am having nothing but problems for the last month or 2. Not going to bed until 10 or 11pm and up all different times. I have printed out a schedule for food and drinks and bedtime on the refrigerator so she knows what to expect and so does DH. We'll see.....

Ella will be 4 in June. She generally sleeps 10-12hrs/night. She's in bed by 8/830 - sometimes earlier, sometimes later.

Mads has always been a restless sleeper and an early riser.

Since moving her to a toddler bed she's usually asleep by 8pm (bedtime is 7 though) and gets up anywhere from 5:30-6:30.

She is still napping (thank goodness) anywhere from 1.5-2.5 hours in the afternoon.

miki sleeps about 9-10 hours, including a 1 hour nap
