How Long will the Dump Last in the White House?
Interesting article here about why Howard Stern thinks the Dump didn't even want to be President and just wanted a better contract with NBC. I initially heard that as well and part of me is hoping he would resign or his mental health will deteriorate so much that the Republicans will replace him before the year is over...

I honestly think he didn't want to be President, at least as far as doing the grunt work is concerned. I think he thought he'd leave the grunt work to Pence while he went out and did more rallies, and popped back to NYC on weekends. He just wanted the honor and prestige of the office.
On that note, I really don't see him quitting. I don't know how much to believe the assorted rogue Twitter accounts but it seems like he is gouging himself on fast food and is super stressed. So then again, maybe he will need to for health reasons.
If he keeps up the current tone, and people stay angry, I can see an impeachment coming. R's will have no choice. Russia is not a dead issue, he relaxed some sanctions today and there is no official recording of his call with Putin which is suspicious. Also, there is allegedly a religious freedom bill coming which will really curtail the rights of the LGBT community which will not be taken lightly.

Probably the 4 years and I am having little faith right now that he won't be elected for another 4 years. There are still tons of people that like him so I am afraid these people will really re elect him again!

He still has his core supporters, and I doubt they will ever come around. But I know that there are lots of people out there right now who voted for him only because they despised Hillary, and I have to believe they are thinking to themselves "WTF did I vote for?" right about now....not that they would ever admit it. I would hope that at least those people would be open to not voting for him next time around.

I feel like, how is this ever going to end? If he stays for 4 years, then what? I think he will win again, or, and now here is a horrific thought, one of his evil sons or daughter will run. So many people believe all of the outright lies. They believe them and they are cheering this crap on. Even if they don't believe them, they are cheering it on. Fox etc. are out of control, and it is getting worse. Bannon is in the White House. BANNON IS IN THE WHITE HOUSE and nothing can be done. Add in the gerrymandering, and further voter suppression they will enact, and I don't see how we get out of this.
He really does do whatever he wants. He says and does whatever he wants and it does not matter. Unsecured phones, unsecured servers, pay for play, conflicts of interest, hidden tax returns, lies, lies and lies...it never ends.
I was so distraught over the holocaust statement, and so many people do not care. They just do not care, and many are laughing. It's a nightmare.

Right now, the only people who support him who are thrilled are the uber wealthy, super conservative Christians, and bigots/extremists. No sane, rational thinking, intelligent person, regardless of why they voted for him and who doesn't fall in any of those categories sees what's going on and is pleased with their choice. They probably won't admit it aloud but they know it and they have to live with it. Hopefully, they won't make the same mistake twice.

My SIL voted for him and posts things on FB every single day praising him and I don't think she falls into any of those categories. She seriously believes money will come back to the middle class and that he will do away with welfare fraud.

His people don't care that he's a miserable leader. They got what they wanted and now they go back to not caring

I have to agree that most ppl who supported him fall into a few buckets:
- ignorant
- self-serving (this includes alot of rich and smart ppl)
- delusional (don't care about facts, this include supposedly smart ppl)
Many don't have all the facts and don't seem to care because these executive orders don't affect them.
I know a handful of them personally and the alternative facts they believe in and the rational for why they voted for Trump makes me want to scream at them.
It really makes me think ppl should pass a test before they can vote, being citizen and over 18yo isn't enough!
