How long to get Medical Bills?

I had DD on 12.29.12

I am trying to match up my EOB with the bills I've received.

There are a few bills that were applied to my deductible/coinsurance that I have never received the actual bill for. They were processed the first week of January by insurance.

Would you assume these bills will be coming in the mail shortly? Or, do you think I am getting out of them somehow?

What is the longest it's taken you to receive a medical bill after the date of service?

I don't believe I owe $50 of the hospital bill, but I am missing one of the doctors bills from the hospital which I should owe $75. Should I fight the $50 or just pay it and hope not to get these other bills?

It took about 3 months after I delivered my kids to receive all the bills. I would review them closely. After DD was born she required bloodwork done. The hospital incorrectly billed us for almost $900. I had to call the hospital repeatedly and explained their errors - I ended up only needing to pay $15. So make sure to review everything and know your policy. EDIT - I always fight bills when I am overcharged. I would never hope to not be billed and then get billed. I have questioned being overcharged by 50 cents and then when they looked at the bill they realized I was overcharged by more. If you think you are being overcharged I would always ask.

It has taken anywhere from 1-3 months to get medical bills.

About 6 months after I had DS I received a notice from a collection agency for the hospital. I called and said but I never received a bill. I was told that when I got the EOB I should have called and paid my portion of the bill. Then it turned out that things were processed incorrectly and I was being way overcharged. It took over a year to get it all straightened out.
