how long til you get used to the "sounds' of a new place?
Its been a month and a half and I still get freaked out like a lil girl when im home alone.
watching the sci-fi channel doesnt help........

I've lived in an apartment building for over a year, and I still jump at sounds from above me or the hallway.

When I lived alone - I don't think it ever went away. But after DH (FH at the time) moved it - I never noticed them anymore.

Me too! I get uncomfortable when he is in school at night (Mon-thurs) and every little sound irritates me. I also bolt the door, I don't usually do that if he is home.

When DH and I moved into our apartment, it took me probably a good month to get used to it. Sometimes if I'm home alone, I still get a bit freaked out.
