How long from when the tooth breaks the surface til it grows in? UPDATE BELOW

FINALLLLLLYYYYYY

after what seemed like 4 mos of teething, we had a breakthrough yesterday - literally!

There was absolutely nothing there on Saturday, then all of a sudden yesterday, we noticed a horizontal slit in his gum with a little white razor peeking out! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Now my question is: how long did it take for your DC's tooth to push through and be totally visible once it cuts the gum like this?

I'm wondering if I can get a pic of his little bunny tooth with his bunny ears on Easter! Chat Icon

Re: How long from when the tooth breaks the surface til it grows in?

At DD's 9 month visit, the ped showed us the little slit in her gum. From there it took almost a month for the tooth to come in fully.

She now has her top tooth coming in. It popped out of the gum about a week ago, but is still just poking out and is not fully out yet.

Riley's was pretty quick!!! I also let her chew on alot of things that made it come out even quicker.

My DD is a late teether/lazy teether.... she does everything at a snails pace.

I think she just likes to torture me! Chat Icon

Wow! I had no idea it took so long! DS had his first tooth break through the gums on Sunday, I though it would be fully out in a couple of days. Guess I was wrong!

For my DS, once it actually broke through, where I felt the rigidness, it took a couple of weeks to actually complete, where the whole tooth is exposed.

I was actually curious about this too. DS was a very late teether. He cut his first tooth at 13.5 months. He has 3 teeth now at 16 months. I don't think any of them are even halfway in yet.
