How long did it take the get the results of your first blood tests / genetic testing?
My doctor's appt was now 2 weeks and 1 day ago (I measure everything to the day now  ) and I still have no results. I was going to call today to see if they forgot me but does it normally take this long, should I just sit tight?

I would call....I think mine took a week/10 days

I called for mine to make sure everything was ok for peace of mind because my drs. office policy is no call = no problem.

Not sure iwhich genetic tests you are asking about - but my full pannel jewish tests took almost a month to come back. The nunchal tube and trisomy tests took about 10 days to come back.

Oh really? I'm not Jewish but DH is so they did the full panel on me since they were already taking blood. Maybe that's what the deal is b/c I just called and she gave me the HIV, hepatitis, reubella, etc results and said she'd call the lab re: the genetics b/c they weren't in there.

Yeah - the lab only does certain tests on specific dates so they can batch multiple individuals tests together. For the full pannel jewish tests they took 9 vials of blood for 12 different tests. I think it also took a while because when I had the tests done it was over Christmas week and I think the lab was closed for part of it.
