How hard would you say having a 3 yr old and a newborn is?
Or any toddler age and a newborn really.
A family friends daughter just had her 2nd baby in march. So she has 3 1/2 year old and a 1 month old. Besides the fact her dr told her not to take the 4 week out until she was 6 weeks the family friend was saying that she really would have no where to go anyway sicne its so hard with two. Do you agree? Did you go out a lot with two youg ones?

I was out with my 2 from day 1 (they are 2 years apart)!! No way could I stay home. It takes some adjusting, and a lot more time to get ready, but it is doable. If they were winter babies, it might have been a little different, but they are early May and it was so nice out.

It's harder than with just 1 but I still go out with them all the time.

I agree. You have no choice but to go out. I think it depends on how you cope with a 2 year old throwing himself on the floor while you hold the baby (answer: double stroller)

I think as long as you mentally prepare yourself that the day may not be easy you can do it. I try to limit my errand running with the two kids because that can nearly get impossible, but we go out and do things all the time. I often keep Molly is the carrier so I have two hands available for Jack.

Going out with both kids definitely takes more work but it's doable. If I know I'm going out the next day, I pack the diaper bag and get the kids clothes ready the night before. I get the older one dressed first and then let him watch a video while I get the baby and myself dressed.
