It took us about 2 yrs to conceive so I've been taking them on and off for about 2 yrs. Obviously not the norm...

I got them last year but I really only take them after I ovulate, then I stop then I start again the next month.

I took folic acid daily starting about 2 months before I got pregnant and started prenatals when I found out I was preggo.

I started taking Folic Acid as soon as I got off the pill.
Then, when I got pregnant a few months later, I started taking prenatals. Then, I had a MC and just continued taking them in between until I got preggo again.

I checked 4 months because it was actually 4 months before we started to "try". I got prgnant 2 months later so officially it was 6 months.
