How early can you test? - Finally got my chart up

I am 11 dpo and I'm just wondering how early I can test... Fertility Friend says to wait until 18 dpo, but I'd like to test as soon as possible.

Re: How early can you test?

I got my first VERY VERY VERY faint line on 12DPO. But I think Kathy got hers before that.

Re: How early can you test?

After several months of ttc...I've learned it's a little easier to wait for the more realistic days to test.

JMO...but if you do start early and it's aBFN...you will make yourself crazy until the correct day to test comes.

I can personally say I have spent LOTS of $$$$ on testing this way!Chat Icon

BUT if you feel you may be prego...go for it!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: How early can you test?

You can test now if you want, as a POAS addict I couldn't help myself. I got my BFP at 9dpo.

FF doesn't want you to test 18 days after o so you have a sure pos or neg result especially if this is your first month charting, it has no historical to compare itself too. Also you could get a BFN now, then test when your late and get a BFP. Everyone is different.

GOOD Luck and let us know!!

Re: How early can you test?

Thanks for the advice! The thing is, I don't know when to consider myself late. I've had two cycles off of the pill - one was 29 days and one was 25 days. I was thinking of waiting until Thursday, but now hearing these stories, I might try tomorrow!!! Let the POAS addiction begin! Chat Icon

Re: How early can you test?

I want to say, if you can take a test and not get upset about it being BFN right now, do it. You never know it could be positive.

But I was a POAS addict so I was doing all the time. It was funny cause this past month, I said I wasn't doing it, cause I was getting too upset seeing the BFNs. I only had one cheapie PG test in the house. I felt a little funny so I said let me try it, this test only cost a dollar. Well, I did and it was faint - very very faint. So then I ran out and bought a WHOLE bunch of the brand name ones! I went crazy with all the testing I did after that.

I got my first very faint line at 9dpo.

By the time I was 11dpo I would have tested a few times!

Re: How early can you test?

Kate-my DH thought i was imagining lines!! I got a very very faint line at 7dpo, I saw the line, DH wanted to commit me!

I agree with Marcie, if seeing a BFN won't get you too upset go for it!! You never know!! I went through soooo many internet cheapie PG tests, if I could I would test right after we BD'd!

How are your temps?
