How does the Ultrascreen work?
I know they are testing for genetic disorders, downs, etc
I am going to Madonna in Babylon
I am guessing then take blood, then do the ultrasound?
I have the very first appointment of the morning on Jan 15th. Just wondering what to expect...

I went to Madonna in Mineola and this is what they did:
First, I had the sonogram. They took lots of pictures and lots of measurements. The tech was very nice and explained exactly what she was measuring and what she was seeing.
Second, I had a quick blood test (taken from your finger) and the blood drops were placed on paper.
That was it. We went back a week later for the results and they went through our family tree, history of diseases, where your families were from, our ages, etc.

Yup that sums it up perfectly. For the sonogram tough, they did an internal one first and then an external on me. Not sure of that varies by lacation...

I had mine done in the Babylon office and got both an internal and external sonogram as part of the ultrascreen.

Had mine done there yesterday. First they do the external sono, then internal, then blood work. But the bloodwork is just a finger prick.
