Re: How do you know

Okay...not 100% sure what you are asking....
If you are wondering wether you should be seeing an RE as opposed to an OB/GYN the general timeline is if you are TTC for a year and you are under 30/ TTC for six months and under 40 and you haven't gotten PG yet - you need to see an RE.
As far as recommendations, everyone is going to recommend the RE they are currently seeing or the one who got them PG.
I know there is an East Coast Fertility in the area, I use LI-IVF and they are located in Port Jefferson and Melville.

Good luck!

ETA: if you are looking to deliver in the Patchogue area you would have to choose between Brookhaven (which I don't think is doing deliveries anymore) , Southside in Bayshore, Good Sam in West Islip or Stonybrook. My OB is in Deer Park and is the head of the board at Good Sam.

Re: How do you know

I was TTC for 6 months and then started seeing a RE. That was long enough for me but everyone moves at their own pace. Age is really the determining factor here. IMO, anyone approaching their mid 30's really should see a RE after 6 months of TTC.

Re: How do you know

Thank you so much for your advice- I am a little overwhelmed/excited/scared and VERY nervous- (prob why so many spelling mistakes in first post-lol) - I realize I want this more then I thought-we both do-I never realized it so stressful just thinking about it, I hope it gets a little easier but from what I have been reading Im not counting on it- I made an appt to see my doctor next month so hopefully I will be able to get some answers- Best of Luck to everyone, your all in my thoughts!!!
