How do Crocs run size-wise compared to Stride Rite?

DS wears an 8/8.5 W in Stride Rite shoes.

I see the Crocs sizing described on the website as C8/9, which is the equivalent of 5.8-6.1 inches in foot lengthChat Icon

This sounds big to me.

Do they run big/small/true to size? Good for fatty, fatty, chubba toddler feet?Chat Icon

They run big, so if your child wears 8.5 then the 8-9 will be fine. And they run a bit wide to begin with, so that shouldn't be an issue either.
