How did you tell the family?
We have an 18 month old and I was going to get him an "I'm a big brother t-shirt" and just have him walk into the next family function and see what happens....
I'm 12w6d.
I'm nervous tell, as I've stated in other posts. The "family" that I'm refering to are my in-laws. We're all close but it's diferent when it's your own parents siblings.
What are some of the other ways to tell?

I just did that on Sat at our block party. Only the shirt said I'm going to be a big brother! It was very funny watching people read it and see their reactions!!!

luvmiboy, that is a cute idea with the im going to be a big brother. my sil has been looking for shirts that say that but cant find anything locally. she tried bru, i tried bbb for her and they only had big sister. can you tell me where you got yours. thanks
not to barge in on the post. if your going to your inlaws for a special occasion maybe make up a card with the sono pic or put the sono in a frame as a gift. can your son point to your stomach and say baby? thats another way too.

We're going to tell our parents on Grandparents Day (Sept. 9th). My parents already have a grandchild so me giving them a card won't be too out of the norm. At that point, I'll be 10.5 weeks so I won't mind if the word gets out to all of the extended family & friends.

I made cards for the family with the sonogram. I thin we really caught them off guard. I don't think anyone knew we were even trying.

A friend of mine did that and it was great. She told everyone else by sending a pic of her daughter in that t-shirt.

this is what we are doing....or are planning to do...but it is so hard to keep the secret....we might give in and do it on "Labor Day" that will be exactly 7 months until I go into "labor"
