How come actors can look hotty boombaladdy in one movie
but ehhhh in another? Like Viggo Mortensen....so HOT in Lord of the Rings....so NOT in History of Violence.

We just watched that last night and I said to DH: Woah, Viggo got DUMPY for this movie!!
Not a great movie in my book either.

Sorry, I assumed from the post you had watched it already. It definitely held my interest the whole time, but I had read such RAVE reviews of it, I guess I was expecting more.

I think it has to do with character - In LOTR he's the strong silent type...In HOV, he's just a regular guy. And Maria Bello looks so dirty in the movie and then there are all those sex scenes - I got totally skeeved out!!! 
But, going back to A Perfect Murder...
