How bad am I if I let my daughter with a cold watch TV all day long?
Poor girl (2.5 years) woke up like 6 times last night and then this morning was unable to fall asleep again after 5 am. She has a runny nose, but otherwise no symptoms so seems like a simple cold -- but since she slept so little she is CRANKY. She is very very happy on the couch watching Noggin. Do I have to turn it off or should I just let her be a couch potato for the day?? Normally it would be no more than an hour at a time....

I have very fond memories of being home sick and watching TV all day w/mom taking care of me. I say let her be if it's passing the time for her and she is happy!

I think that for today it's fine. Who doesn't like to veg out on the couch when you feel terrible? She might even doze on and off during the shows.

I let Jake watch TV when he is sick too. I figure it's ok because it lets them rest which is what they need when they are sick. Otherwise he'd be wearing himself out running all around the house.

when they are sick I say just keep them comfy! Antonio was sick this past weekend and he just lay around on the couch and my bed sucking his pacifier and watching tv. He would play for a little but you could see he had no energy to stand for too long.
We do it when we are sick right? I'm sure once she is feeling better she will want to be on the move again.

Thats what Ali is doing today - she is not feeling well either
I think it is fine and she is content
