houses that are brick vs. vinyl siding vs. stucco/cement
everyone says that brick is the best...but even brick needs to be maintained.
what are the pros/cons of getting a brick house vs. one with vinyl siding (or other type of material)
how long does vinyl siding usually last? anything specifically to ask when looking?

Brick houses always have a bit more value than a comparable home with siding.
Aside from maintenance, which is definitely much less for a brick home, I've heard brick homes are more energy efficient.
I am not sure how long vinyl siding lasts, but I think it would depend on the quality and thickness of the siding. I am sure it varies greatly.

Stucco is nice, but not meant for this climate. It is meant for houses in warm dry climates. Moisture kills stucco. If you drive around, you will notice it looks nice at first, but in a few years starts to flick off and gets moldy.
