Hotel Suggestions in NJ?

THis is probably a long shot, but we are going to NJ, The function we are going to is in Manville, NJ. We are looking for hotels in that area, or Hillsborough, North Brunswick, or Piscataway. We are not looking to spend a lot of money, but would prefer it possibly have a pool and/or a lounge/restaurant. Has anyone stayed in a hotel in these areas and can recommend?? OR does anyone live in these areas and can recommend where NOT to go?

When I drive to Bridgewater I see a nice looking Marriot next to the mall (Bridgewater Commons) I have no clue if it is nice or not, but it is pretty big for Somerset County, NJ.
