hospital bag- what to pack for baby?

I have their coming home outfit, hat, socks, prams and a few newborn sized side snap shirts. I also have 2 diapers and some wipes for the 20 min ride home (I figure I'll get some more diapers from the hospital too even though I wont need them)

I also have their car seats obv, blankets and the car seat cover.

I have no clue if I need anything else though.
TIA

Mittens in case the babies fingernails are long. You don't want them scratching themselves!

that is MORE than enough! You don't need the side snap shirts or the diapers or wipes, as the hospital will give you all of that, and then they let you take the extra, so leave the space to get as much from the hospital as possible!! Chat Icon I really just used a coming home outfit- lots of diff hats that I put on them during their stay, and a blanket... Chat Icon

This exactly. The baby spends most of the time in the clothes that the hospital puts on them. I also bought along a 0-3 month old outfit to come home in because ds was measuring big ( he was born at 8'8) and I wasn't sure if newborn would fit him.

I brought the car seat, a coming home outfit, and 4 pairs of socks. The socks because they, IMHO, work WAY better then the mittens for fingernails. He got some outfits and he wore them. So if I have another I would bring the coming home outfit, car seat, 4 pairs of socks, and 2 outfits.

We brought the car seat, bundle me (showercap style), extra blanket, a NB size onesie, a 0-3 month onesie in case DS was too big, mittens, socks, and a hat.

We took extra diapers and everything else from the hospital (seriously - make sure to take EVERYTHING!)

The only thing I would add is a pacifier if you plan on using one.

My hospital doesn't give babies pacifiers, so I am bringing one in the bag in case I need to plug her up on the way home.

Honestly, with DD I needed nothing except a coming home outfit. This time around I will probably bring a pacifier since many hospitals don't give them out anymore (mine did at the time)....that's about it, the hospital supplies everything you need.

I used what they had in the hospital. I didnt need anything except their coming home outfits, cars eats, boppy etc. i used their tee shirts. i did t use mittens at all because they still dont stay on. My hospital used these plush napkins that you wet as wipes so you could bring wipes if you wanted them. I used the napkins.

Oh maybe a brush. They gave me a comp but B is bald and I could have used a soft brush once in awhile for her. Also for H who has hair.

I only planned to pack a going home outfit (incl socks, hat, mitts) blanket and/or pram. I figured the hospital would give us everything else we needed.
