Horrific accident on S State East bound this morning!
I was going west but I saw the aftermath of the accident as I passed...Car appeared to be flipped over and burned however it was still dark when I passed. Lots of police and ambulances. I hope whoever was involved will be ok

They said on the radio that the accident is still under investigation. That's never a good thing
ETA: Newsday says it was fatal.....

I was trying to be optimistic but really from what I saw...It would have been a miracle if anyone survived...atleast the car I saw..I have never seen anything like it! The car either was flipped over or standing straight up...again it was kind of dark. It was so badly burned you couldn't even tell what kind of car it was

I just heard that it had to do with driving westbound on the eastbound side - and yes it was a fatal accident

I heard on the radio that it looked like it was a big SUV (like Hummer) that hit a another car head-on. They said one was dead & 2 at the hospital

this just happened in NJ on Monday. A truck driving west jumped the median and collided headon with an other tractor trailer driving east bound. So sad...

There are quite a number of accidents over there on the SS - isn't that by the split of the Belt and Cross Island?
