Holy Crap.... there ARE good people in the world!!!!

So this morning, I was starving so I stopped by a McDonalds for an o-so-healthy morning breakfast.

Anyway, I left my wallet there.

The kicker is, I bought my food to take out at 8:30 in the morning and I didn't realize I left my wallet there until 2:30 ! This was the time I needed to go out and get food for lunch!

Let's just say I called the McDonalds and asked if anyone found a wallet... AND THEY HAD IT!!!!



It just always warms my heart when people do the right thing. I only had $1 cash in the wallet, but it was there and nothing was missing!

Just having a "people ARE good" moment!!!

that is great, I hear all too often people getting everything stolen when their wallets are lost. It's nice to hear that you got it back safe and sound.

I had a similar situation recently- I left my Burberry scarf in the fitting room at bloomies

(I lost a pair of chanel sunglasses last year- so I should be more careful)

after I noticed it was gone- I ran back to the fitting room

and they had it waiting for me- I was so happy! I would have hated to replace it b/c I got it when I worked for Bloomies - so I didn't' pay full price

Over the summer, in NJ, I was in Wendy's grabbing my Dad dinner because he was starving and we were at Kessler alllll day with Kenneth so he just didn't eat... So, I ran inside (not a drive-thru) for him and I ordered. After I ordered, I was waiting to get his food and a man came up to pick up his order (he was waiting before me). When he picked up the order he went to shove his wallet back into his pocket but he had a small pile of 20's outside the wallet -- so, he went to put wallet with all that money in pocket and the wallet went but the 20's fell and he didn't even NOTICE. There was no one else in the entire Wendy's (it was late) and so I immediately picked them up and said oh sir! He was almost out the door - he would have never realized!

Well, he was SO freaking shocked that I did that he wanted to GIVE ME some of the money LOL. I refused and said it was no big deal... he was just blown away. I didn't think anything of it - I just thought, man if I dropped that I would want to get it back! I mean, what am I going to do with like, realistically, 180 dollars? It is not going to make or break me so I can't even understand why anyone would take it! Not that if it was a larger amount that would make it right either!

Anyway, that was my good samaritan story hahaha. That was really nice of whoever turned it in or of the employee who put it aside -- soooo glad you got your wallet back!!! All the stuff in there is SO hard to replace and get back - it can be a real PITA and costly! Congrats on that!

I lost my wallet on the T in boston, someone returned it to the college's gen services offices!


I also left my burberry scarf in a restaurant, and they had it for me 2 days later!

The same thing happened to me about a month ago. I lost my wallet early in the morning (at a gas station) and didn't realize it until about 3:00pm. I called the gas station and they were trying to contact me. I also had about$60 in cash and it was all there. I was shocked.
