HIMYM 2/27 *spoilers*
After last week I felt this week fell flat again  And seriously, I can take the occasional joke they make at the expense of L.I. but I felt it got pretty insulting last night. Maybe I'm just sensitive lately, but I almost turned it off. The only saving grace is that with Marshall & Lily moving back to NYC the "jokes" should hopefully end.

I feel like this week's jokes weren't really about Long Island, just the suburbs in general. Remember when Stella lived in NJ and they ripped on NJ for a whole episode? I grew up on LI and now live in NJ....not all that different!

I actually really liked this ep. Ted had some character growth and is actually MOVING ON WITH HIS LIFE  
The LI stuff didn't bother me on the whole but it pissed DH off (he has lived here all his life). It did annoy me that they moved back to the city to raise the baby but there are "city people" and "suburbanites". I do like how Ted gave hem the apt.

i got tired of this episode...
and the whole barney stripper thing- that just went on too long
also bored of ted...he is so lame.
the LI stuff i found funny- especially robyn's "journal"

I'm getting really bored with this show. There are ways to have the characters grow and mature while still being funny. Just meet their mother already!!!!
And there are plenty of good jokes about LI/the suburbs, so why did they choose to make us seem like one big 55+ community?

I loved this episode and so did DH, we were cracking up because he grew up in East Meadow and none of it was true, it was such an obvious exaggeration and super hilarious 
I actually gasped when I saw the empty apartment, so happy he did that for them

I have to say, I did really like the end! It was sweet & it seems like Ted is finally going to move on. Now let's see if they can live up to the potential this has.
How old are the kids he's telling the story to in 2030? 15? 16? If so, he has to meet, date & marry the mother really soon!

this is exactly what DH said to me... "why are they making LI seem to be a place with only old people and snooki-wannabes?"

I really liked the episode, did not expect Ted to give them the apartment and I liked that twist. I wasn't offended by the LI jokes, DH and I were cracking up, it was obviously an extreme exaggeration for laughs. I wonder where Ted is going to live now...

the episode was a snoozer. BUT I am glad that Ted is moving on and hopefully Robin will too.
Barney and Quinn are boring. Either have him get back with Robin or pursue Nora again.
I'm confused though, Did Marshall and Lily sell their old apartment by the sewage?
If they did, they didn't seem to make a big deal out of it. I remember when they first bought the place Future Ted was all like "It was one of Uncle Marshall's biggest regrets". It didn't seem like it was so bad there. Just the smell (which was never again mentioned) and the floor being uneven (which they fixed).
I guess they didn't have a hard time selling the place, either! I dunno, just feel like the show is losing touch
