Hi mommies of September Babies

Now that our lil ones are 4 months old or turning 4 months old...what milestones have they reached? Are they eating cereal yet?

I'm happy to report that my lil one is very vocal....and I swear she recongnize me when I come home from work...she is still trying to roll over..but she sits up very well...and she just started eating cereal on Saturday. So far so good she likes it.

I'm here! My guy has been eating cereal since 8 weeks for the reflux and does well with it. He hasn't rolled over yet and it just starting to think about reaching for things. He can sit supported, but we still have some work to do with that!! I think he's pretty much on target Chat Icon

Re: Hi mommies of September Babies

Hi, Brody was born on Sept 12th, so he is 4 months and 1 week old. He is 19 lbs now, and wears 9/12 month clothes.

He eats rice creal, but doesn't really "get it". It's pretty much all over his face.

He slept in his crib last night for the first time- in his own room. We missed him!!

He doesn't roll over, but kind of squirms around. He sits up with assistance, and now grabs for toys and hold things. He tries to put everything in his mouth.

He laughs and baby talks all the time. His big sister is his form of entertainment. He also looooves Blues Clues and Yo Gaba Gaba.

Re: Hi mommies of September Babies

Anthony was born on Sept 17th.
He tries to sit up (it looks like he is doing crunches) if flat, if inclined, he does sit up.
He is becoming very vocal, cooing, goo, gaa...
He stands like a champ assisted
He has been taking cereal in is bottle for a while, but I am starting to give it to him on a spoon... he is not interested.
He recongnizes people and his favorite toys.
He is *just* starting to think about possibly roling over.
He is 14.8lbs and 25inches as of last weekChat Icon

Re: Hi mommies of September Babies

i am here Chat Icon

luca is doing well - he is 4 1/2 months today!

he is trying to sit up, he will pull up if i hold his hands in mine. he is babbling like crazy, making the cutest noises and laughing all the time.

we are still BFing (mostly - he gets a bottle of formula before bed) and he is fine with 6 oz. of BM in his daytime bottles, so i am guessing that his little growth spurt is over. he has his 4 month visit with the ped tomorrow, i can't wait to find out how big he got!

we tried ceral two weeks ago and that was a bust Chat Icon so we will probably wait another few weeks.

the only tiny problem i have is that since we stopped swaddling him, he gets up at 4 am for his AM feeding, but it's not that big of an issue because i get to go back to sleep until 6:30am Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

he is rolling over really well from tummy to back, and i can tell he is almost ready to roll back to tunny, but he doesn't know what to do with his arms so he gets stuck Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

but all in all he is such a happy baby, i am so thrilled with how big he is getting, and what a little person he is becoming Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Hi mommies of September Babies

DS is probably the youngest of the LIF sept babies (9/30)

when he was last at the Dr's (almost 2 weeks ago), he was 27" and 16 lbs...

he coo's, and is just now starting to try out some gaa's/babbling... he reaches for stuff and can sit with assistance. He's drooling a lot, so I think he may teething already....

no cereal... I really don't want him to get used to bland foods like cereal and pasta... I want his first solids to be things like carrots or yams..... so we're waiting for another month or so....
He can hold his head up very well.... he's still developing torso coordination....

Re: Hi mommies of September Babies

hi!

my DS turned 4 months on the 14th. he is sleeping on his sides now, screaming like a little maniac. He just found his loud voice. I started him on oatmeal about 2 weeks ago, he loves it! he started peas and pears 2 days ago. he loves peas, not so crazy about pears though. he still hates tummy time but is good about doing it when I make him . he has good head control but def. still needs support. he learned how to turn his Fisher price aquarium on and off , he does it evry time he wakes up at night

he weighs about 15 pounds and is pretty long. and he wakes up twice a night for feeding, example last night he woke at 140 am and 530 am
