My son is in religion, first year and it is coming to end. Do we tip or buy something for religion teacher?

This is my child's second year in RC...she is also making her first communion - I may pick up a nice potted plant to give to her teacher on the last day - but its not required.

I was a religion teacher and I really don't remember getting many gifts. Like someone said maybe a gift card to dunking donuts.
