HELP Question about boys potty training and not pooping

It's been a long road of potty training with DS. He's 3 1/2 now and I have been actively trying since his 3rd birthday. He will go through spurts where he does great (with peeing) and then for a while not so much. He has been wearing pullups and I decided that when school ended, I was going to make him only wear underwear, and seriously train him this summer, because I know he knows what to do.

He HATES pooping on the potty. He cries and begs me to put his pullups on if I take them off and try to get him to go on the potty. He has only pooped on the potty maybe 2-3 times total.

So 2 days ago I started with the underwear. This is the third day and he has not pooped at all.

First day we mostly stayed home, he had no accidents. Second day (yesterday) I babysat someone else's kids all day with him (in their home) and he wet himself twice there and once at night he intentionally peed on a chair. Chat Icon (He took off everything and my mom was trying to get him to go on the potty, he ran in the computer room and peed on the chair)

So no pooping for 2 1/2 days now? I feel bad for him. I let him wear a pullup at night last night because we had such a rough night the night before and I wanted him to get some rest.

Any advice? Is there something else I should be doing?

my DS would do the same thing!!! one of the last times i was doing PT with him, he hadn't pooped and i knew he had to! so i put the pull up on and followed him around the house. as soon as i heard the first little grunt...like he was going to poop i ran him into the bathroom and sat him on the potty. he went bc at that point he really had no choice but to go!!! try that!!!

Yesterday I caught him hiding like he was going to poo. So I dragged him to the bathroom while he cried the whole way and then said he didn't have to go. I know he was about to go, but he held it in instead..

And today.. no accidents (and we did go out today..he went while we were out numerous times)..

but still no pooing. Chat Icon

Oh, and he's been extra grumpy and giving me quite an attitude.

Oh yes.. I have tried bribery. I gave him candy and what not durring the past few months when he would go. If he was doing well for a few days I would buy him a small toy.

He knows that when he's fully trained he's getting this Thomas bike he really wants and helmet from me and my parents promised him some Geotrax he wants.

I am so worried when the time comes that he can no longer hold it he is going to have a serious A$$PLOSION!
