Help needed-is this a sleep regression or reflux/allergy related?

Okay, I have no idea what is going on, so any help, especially from moms with reflux/allergy babies would be great.

Sienna will be 4 months Chat Icon July 1. She was pretty much STTN until about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Here is the background:

Sienna is a milk allergy/reflux baby. She finally had a blood free diaper the first week we were in NY (June 4), but the reflux started getting worse. The GI increased her Zantac, but she was still miserable, so a week and a half ago, we started Nexium. It is definitely working and my girl is eating and happier. However, she stopped sleeping at night and wakes every 2 hours to nurse. She is not napping very much during the day.

I have no idea if this is a regression or because she feels better from the Nexium. I did notice that if I let her sleep on me, she will sleep with less wake ups, but I really don't want to start that, as DH and I would prefer to keep her in her own crib/swing/whatever. I also don't know if this means anything either, but she also stopped sleeping in the car for the most part and screams during car rides. She also seems to want to be held a lot.

I am at a loss. We are still in NY until next Sunday (if anyone wants to play, FB message me!) so I don't know what I can accomplish, because I imagine she may regress again at home, but I need sleep. She is sleeping on me as I write this because I can't go another sleepless night.

What do I do? Will this end? And just to throw the car issue in-is it related or can I do anything? I am losing my mind. My parents think she is manipulating me now.

TIA! And sorry I have been MIA-the computer at my parent's is full of viruses!

Mich, as you know DS is just about the same age as Sienna and he's been doing the same thing recently (although he NEVER STTN, lol).

Now he'll nurse, then fall asleep on me, and literally the minute I put him down in his swing/rocker/crib, he'll be WIDE awake and will usually cry... repeat.

I definitely don't want him to get used to sleeping on me (and anyway then I couldn't sleep!). I don't have any answers, but you're not alone. He's a reflux baby too, no milk allergy, and his reflux isn't as bad as Sienna's. So basically I don't know, lol.

I'm still hoping he'll start sleeping more than 3-4 hours in a row soon.

ETA: Forgot to say, the Ped said DS is teething. I definitely think this might have something to do with it, now that I think about it. He seems to get comforted by nursing and he does use me as a pacifier now, which he NEVER did before. So I think it might just be that he's uncomfortable or in pain (Chat Icon ) and that's why he's acting that way. Could it be the same with Sienna?

Yesi-ugh, I despise posting from my BB. Takes forever!

Marie-i don't think it is teething-she seems happy lately, her gums look normal, she is crying less-except for the car. Chat Icon
