Help! My house is being invaded by crickets!
So in the past week, there have been 3 crickets in my house!!! My DH and I have also been hearing them literally all around our house- outside our kitchen window, dining room, back of our house in both corners!! It's like they are preparing for an attack to enter! please help!! What can we spray around our house to deter them from entering? When they entered, it was in the dining room 2 times and the basement once (that we know of)

We had them last year in the basement. My husband put up poison traps. Since it is unfinished we never go down there, so I didn't mind. A few found their way upstairs and my cat loved playing with them. My friend also had them and she called an exterminator, who just sprayed and she still had a few afterwards.

Wow!!! She still had a few even after an exterminator sprayed??

That's those stupid spider looking things that jump right? I have them in my basement too. They're so gross.
If you don't want to spray anything I know they sell those sticky traps. Literally looks like a piece of tape and they get stuck to it and can't move.
Then your husband has to throw it out. Lol

Get a dog. Its protein :)
Since we got a dog I don't see any bugs in the house. And he is ESPECIALLY good at getting crickets....

Same with our lab/mastiff mix. He's great at finding them, "plays" with them for a while, and then ultimately eats them. I haven't seen one in a long time!

We have a lazy beagle  but he's not killing anything bc he's busy sleeping at night hahaa

Help! My house is being invaded by crickets!
Glue/sticky traps are the only thing for crickets. There are a few different brands (JT Eaton, Terro, Harris). They have a scented lure that attracts them to the trap. The only sprays are made so more don't come in. You can use home defense around window ledges and door ways to keep them out. Home Defense can be used indoors or outdoors and it dries clear. Once it's dry, it's completely safe. You could use it in your kitchen cabinets if you wanted to. And it works for most bugs, not just crickets.
If you have any other questions, feel free to FM me. I'm a manager at a hardware store and crickets have been a hugeeee issue the past few years.

glue traps of any kind are cruel to bugs and rodents. I know it feels crappy but I don't think 3 crickets means invading. Locate how they are getting in, usually a small opening and close it up.
MY dog was the best bug catcher, all I had to do was say, oh no a bug and she was there Johnny on the spot to assist.

Glue boards in corners. There are pharamones they are attracted to and get stuck on them. There is also a natural gravel stuff suburban put down around the house when we had them. Idk if maybe Home Depot sells something similar.

Google 'bengal' bug spray... They have a spray for spiders that i think would still work for your cricket problem.
