Help me figure out what job to look for
So the education market is dismal at best and guidance jobs are fewer and farther between than most.
I'm sad to even be at this point; I feel like I have no choice but to put my passion and dreams aside My ds is starting pre-school and I really have no choice but to go back to work. We simply can't afford me staying home anymore...
What other jobs/careers are out there that I could go after with my credentials?
I have my:
MS Ed and PD in Counseling
NYS School Counselor Cert
NYC School Counselor License #
NYS LMHC Licensed Mental Health Counselor
NCC National Counselor Cert
I feel like I have exhausted the Elem/Secondary School/College Counseling fields
I know HR is a possibilty, but I can't imagine going in at this point at entry level at $30,000 a year (I'm not trying to be a brat, but I owe triple that in student loans, kwim?)

have you tried private schools? institutions? Henry Viscardi, DDI, Sagamore, East Woods, there are tons.
hospitals?
hae you looked at Nassau/Suffolk counties in there civil service positions?

agreed... also early intervention agencies, child/family services. nursing homes and hospitals also often need counselors.

Are you not interested in higher education? I've seen many job postings in the past few months.
