Help!! DS has NO interest in Potty Training...

My 3 1/2 year old DS has NO interest in Potty Training at all.

Everyone keeps telling me that it will just happen when they are ready but, I feel like between him and the baby all I do is change diapers all day long.

I was wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation and has any advice for me!!

My son will be three in Oct and for a while I thought he was potty trained and then it all went backwards and we are back in regular diapers. He too has no interest. There is a pack of Thomas Trains along with a new Thomas video sitting on top of our refrgerator that he can have when he is in big boy pants, yet that doesn't peak his interest at all. That is why I know he is not ready. The kid would give his left arm for a new Thomas train, and he doesn't even ask for these since he knows what he has to do to get them.

I know how frustrating it is, but this is the one thing we really can't control. All you can keep doing is making it a positive experience, offering him rewards and then he will do it eventually. Hang in there!

My daughter had issues with potty training. The best part was that she would go at preschool but not at home!

Finally I wised up and just copied the teacher!

Each month, each kid would have their name written on a "shape" (December it was a xmas tree, february a heart...). Everytime they would go, they got a sticker.

So....I took a piece of paper, drew a shape on it of her choice and assured her that everytime she went at home, she would get a sticker...and could put it on the picture herself. In 2 weeks, she was going at home as well!!!

I have a friend who's daughter was not cooperating as well...they tried all sorts of "bribes" and big girl talk...in the end, they followed my lead.

my ds is 3 next month. no interest in potty training either. not even close. my dd wasnt trained till 3 years and 7 months old. so im not going to rush it or pressure him. when my dd was finally ready at 3 years and 7 months it only took her 2 days to be day trained and 4 days for night. dont stress about it. lots of us moms are in your same boat.
