HELP ...Dr. Wagner Girls or Girls Delivering in Huntington Hospital ???
I need to change Dr's to deliver in Huntington.
I am leaning towards Dr.Wagner (although I haven't met him my sister had her 1st w/ him as well as her SIL) They both recommend him but what are his office hrs like?
On the website it says they are open till 5pm. Do they not have appointments after 5??
Girls delivering in HH, please recommend your Dr. & why.

I use Suffolk OB GYN Group..271-4330..Their office is right next to Dunkin Donuts on 25A.
Vanson & Horn Dont deliver any more but they do still see patients. They have been around since the early 70s
Greenstein and Kramer are the "active" doctors. Kramer is the Chief of OB at Huntington.
Ive used them for years. Vanson Delivered my eldest daughter and she is 13.
I actually left their practice to go with a doctor you used to be in the practice only to go back...(I had left b/c I thought that Dr Vanson wasnt around at all.) He still sees patients just doesnt deliver babies. Although he is planning on being there for the delivery of my son!
Truth is all the Doctors at Huntington Hospital have formed some sort of group or something. So unless you are scheduled to deliver you dont really know who is going to be delivering any way.

I left Dr. Wagners office to go to Suffolk OBGYN (in Smithtown adn Pt. Jeff) however my whole family and il's go to Wagner I felt he did not give any straight answers in fear of a law suit. No matter what you were talking about.

I went to Dr. Wagner for years - not for ob, but regular gyn and LOVED him. The only reason why I left was because I wanted a practice closer to home and one that uses Good Sam since I live two minutes from there. So, a couple of years ago, I left to become familiar with a new practice. Honestly, if he were not so far, I would have never left. He was the best, very knowledgeable and an excellent doctor. I have referred many friends to him and they all love him. The office tends to be busy (he has two, one Huntington, one Northport). I always was able to get an evening appt. Best of luck.

My dr is Singer and she delivers out of H.H. I believe she worked with Wagner (same practice) and she then moved and works out of the Huntington Medical Group. I really like her. She came highly recommended by family and friends.

I have Dr Singer too. I gave bitrth at HH and was very happy all around with my experience!

I see Felicia Callan at North Shore OB/GYN and while I expect that I might see someone else from her group, I can't imagine that I'd see anyone from another practice. Is that true? That's so weird. If I might deliver with a complete stranger I'm switching hospitals.
I'm happy with North Shore OB/GYN, and they have evening hours.

I would ask your Dr at the next visit..they joined some sort of alliance or something....it might not be ALL of the doctors BUT I know it was quite a list of them...I know that if you call Antepartum testing at HH they would be able to tell you about it as well.

this is my dr. too. I saw her for my first few appointments, and now i'm on a rotation between about 3 other doctors.So it will be one of them that will deliver. They want each of the doctors to meet you just in case they are the ones delivering. Last time I went i met with Dr. Schneider and when i go in 2 weeks i will be meeting w/Dr. Scanlon. Then its either back to Dr. Callan, or one more dr. before seeing her again.
There was no mention of drs. from another office.

i use WGM and dr goldman is my primary and dr wagner was the backup. however, when i went into labor neither were on call and dr. zitner delivered hannah. she is not in wgms practice so yes, it is possible for someone from another practice to deliver your baby.

I am a huge, huge, HUGE fan of Dr. Wagner and his partner Dr. Goldman. I will never go anywhere else. They are so knowledgeable and make you feel so comfortable and are not condescending at all. Goldman does late appointments - up until 7:30 I think. Both Wagner and Goldman were there for my labor and delivery (at different times). Feel free to FM me if you want more info.

I adore Dr. Wagner. I wanted him or Dr. Singer to deliver my children.
Dr. Goldman delivered my son. He's ok but can be a little snotty.
Dr. Zitner was on call when I delivered my daughter.
Dr. Morris needs to get the huge chip on her shoulder removed. I'm not a fan of hers but she no longer takes ob patients.

Thank you ladies so much!!!
Fortunately I am familiar with most of the Dr's on that list.
I was my BFF's coach 2 years ago and she is with Suffolk OB so I met most of them during her pregnancy. We saw a lot of them as she had twins along w/ complications that brought us to the hospital 1x a week!. 
I've been procrastinating and need to make appointments this week!!
Thanks again you have all been a huge help!!
P.S: I wasn't the one giving birth but was the coach for my friend and our experience at Huntington was outstanding! All the staff was wonderful. We had a great experience.

I use Dr Wagner and would recommend him. i need late appointments and so far have had no trouble getting them. Dr Wagner is there until 8 on Monday nights.

Dr. Morris is my gyn; she was actually sued and no longer delivers. Well, the practice was sued b/c of one of her deliveries or something. She seems very different to me since that all went down. Sad...very withdrawn.

That is interesting ...bc I thought she was so nice and easy to talk to when I first went to her and then I had to switch recently b.c I just wasnt liking her anymore.
but back to OP , girlfriends of mine highly recommend Greenstein if that helps...
