Help!!! Birthday Party Related
Okay everybody. I am trying to figure out what would be good games/prizes for my mom's birthday party. We're throwing her a 75th birthday party bash. It's catered, etc. but I want to have at least a couple of games with prizes to keep people entertained when they're not eating or dancing.
If you went/have been to an adult birthday party, what was the most fun thing that occurred? Is birthday bingo just TOO corny for this age group?

hmm... they did something at my shower that might work. my sister went online and found cute quotes and some funny jokes about love/marriage. she then wrote each one on a separate peice of paper. each guest got one before i started opening presents. as i was opening presents, when i opened a present, the guest who gave it to me had to read the joke/quote on their peice of paper outloud. it REALLY REALLY kept people entertained and laughing because they couldn't wait to hear the next quote or joke.
maybe you could do something like that, but with fun facts about your mom, or funny stories from her growing up... or even some jokes about getting older ( this one could be iffy, though- LOL )
at my parents 25th anniversary party, my sister and i made up a "quiz" about them, (ex " JAnice had a dog named_________ while she was growing up" or "Gran's favorite restaurant is _______). we had people write down their answers and then went over them... it was funny because some people tried to argue the answers- LOL

I did if for a birdal shower buy you can do it anywhere
A poster baord with tons of pics of your mom at all differnt ages, and everyone has to guess how old she is. I wrote #'s next to each and people went up and had a score card, wrote the age on their score card, then the person with the highest total right won a prize. it was actually fun

That's a cute idea!
ETA...if it's a surprise party you could ask some guests to do a "This is your life" type thing.
