my little guy was out of control this morning and I was yelling at him to get dressed. I tried talking & it didnt work. for a good 45 min-hour. I overheard him telling his brother I wish mommy was dead. Chat Icon . I was in total shock. I will not tell my husband but this kid is seriously out of control. he writes on the furniture and walls. hits his brotehr we are talking a 4 1/2 yr old hitting a 7 yr old hard. not lightly in anyway. I asked his teacher this monring and she hasnt seen a difference in him. I told her he has been very mean and everything, to everyone. Something had to have happened. I just cannt believe he said that. I said fine but Id still love you. My older boy was shocked, he tries to be a peacekeeper and knows his brother gets everything he wants from me. but the little guy has taken it to far

Re: He said ...

You should definitely tell your husband about it. Specially if his behavior is getting worse.
If he continues on behaving badly and you are not getting to the bottom of what may be bothering him, you should see a children's therapist. Good luck to you Chat Icon

Im so sorry, that must have been heart breaking to hear your little one say that...I would speak to your DH about it to try to get to the bottom of why his behavior has changed....

Re: He said ...

I hate to say this, but I work with kids, and have a private practice and I have heard this more than a few times. Did he watch something where someone died, or did you recently lose someone? Don't take it too personally, he probabl does not know the permenancy of being "dead", he just thinks when someone dies they go away. Has there been any changes in the house? Di he just finish school, are you registering him for school in the fall, FM me, I have been a bereavement counselor for many years and I'd be happy to help, or give you some suggestions.Chat Icon
