Having celebrity crushes
Do you think it is natural, normal to have mini crushes especially on celebrities even if you have a significant other/ spouse? I definitely do and DH and I each have an ever evolving "list".
The reason I bring this up is because I was just watching The View, and Kelly Monaco is guest hosting. SHe was talking about her and her very long term boyfriend having crushes. Well Elisabeth Hasselback kept telling her how wrong that was and blah blah and it's like cheating. I wanted to smack her through the TV. She also had a major problem w/ Kelly Monaco feeling that she doesn't have the need to be married (like Goldi/Kurt). I think I hate Elizabeth, she's so holier than thou!! And yea, I bet her Football player husband doesn't look at other women

this is not the first time that she got all preachy on the view..shes an idiot... if she doesnt think her hubby looks at other women shes on crack--every1 looks and its perfectly normal to have crushes on celebs (the truly unattainable) u can look but dont touch! and that goes to celebs and real life pple

I don't think there's a problem with having a celebrity crush. Just b/c you're married doesn't mean you're dead. Does she walk around with her head down so she doesn't notice anyone attractive?
Also, why judge someone for choosing to not get married or for waiting a while to walk down the aisle? Just b/c something is right for you doesn't make it right for everyone. I find her so irritating.

elisabeth hasselbeck is more conservative then my 91 year old grandma. the things that come out of her mouth make me laugh sometimes. shes so naive. and heck ya me and dh have celebrity crushes, i guess we are both "cheaters",

DH and I both have our "eye candy" and will let the other one know when a movie with a piece of eye candy is on. Only natural in my book

I hate to say it, but I can't wait until Tim Hasselbeck cheats on his holier than thou wife, Elisabeth.

agreed...I've never wanted to beat someone to a pulp like I do Elisabeth...If I was home during the show, I would stop watching b/c of her alone!

Not to stick up for Elizabeth cause I am with y'all on how preachy she is BUT, I watched the view this morning and just wanted to add my 2 cents...
I think she was more defending marriage than attacking kelly. kelly was making it all like she is soooo much happier and in a better relationship that 99percent of her married friends etc (and actually said that) and i think between her and joy, elizabeth felt the need to say that not all married people are unhappy and point out the whole POINT of marriage and it IS more than a piece of paper BUT, as usual she went wayyyyyyyy over board.
as for the other issue - i think she was more commenting on how kelly said her boyfriend has a 1-3 list of her hottest friends as in 1 being her hottest friend and elizabeth was like come on that doesn't bother you! honestly...it would bother me!
I gotta say, i like gh and watch "sam" all the time and like her ALOT better than kelly, lol!

I saw this today and I think that this chick needs to get a GRIP! I think her voicing her opinion that celeb crushes are wrong is because there is some sort of insecurity there. Maybe because she's a football players wife? I don't know. But seriously, I thought Kelly was being very realistic and honest and that Elisabeth has some sort of stick up her heiny.

ets: Although, I do agree that the discussion about marriage that Kelly had was a whole different ballgame. I do not believe that she is happier than her married friends simply because she is not married. But this is not for me to judge. Plenty of people have partnerships where they are not married but live together and are in a wonderful, committed relationship. I do think it is wrong of her to play down what marriage is though. It's a personal (and most of the time spiritual) decision and Kelly was kinda being a beyotch about it
