Have you ever looked thru your friends' friends on myspace or facebook...
... and find that they know people YOU know from completely different parts of your life?
I just saw my cousin on an old friends' list - and I had no idea they were friends with each other!
That's soooo strange!!!!!

yup, me too!
a guy i graduated HS with that now lives in Philly had my 17yr old cousin on his list...I freaked for a minute! hahaha we're 8 yrs older than her - how the heck did her know her?! Turns out she's his GF's sister's BF.

Yes, my SIL noticed that we're friends with a few of the same people and we didn't even realize. It's pretty funny what a small world it is.

When I joined linkedin I found out a lot of things within the first week or 2.
A guy that I know through NACBA (a work organization) grew up with a friend of mine.
A lawyer that I know has a radio show and has some of the same connections as a friend of mine who is in radio.
Also, a friend who did some temp. work at my office gave me a recommendation on linked in and I didn't know she thought that highly of me!!

I actually did that and found that someone who went to college with me and eventually worked with me is friends with someone on here but I have never met the LIF'er in real life and so I have never been in the same room with the two of them together.
I also found that someone who came to observe my ESL class is friends with the younger brother of an old high school friend and she graduated from a high school where one of my friends works and a college where another friend works.
Time to start singing It's a Small World....

Yes it has happened several times...I even found an old neighbor on my friend's husband's page...Turns out, they went to college together
