Have anyone ever given their kids.....

Culturelle Kids, Florastor Kids, Lactaid or adiciphilos if your child had very soft stools? DD is 3 1/2 and has been going this way off and on for about 2 weeks. I've been giving her binding foods but the ped. Said we can also try one of these. If you've tried one, which one dud you try and how did it work?

I've given DD culturelle, she was having very bad diarrhea for over a week and dr said to use that to try to replace the good bacteria that she was losing. I don't remember it actually helping stop the diarrhea though.

My DH is a GI, he says florastor causes gas problem in all ages, he doesn't recomend it, unless its the only option, and then recommends it only at night because most people and children can sleep through th gas.

I haven't heard of the othes, just thought id throw the info out there.

Eta: how old is your dc, can you offer yogurt? I highly recommend stoneyfield or yobaby brand it has the best combo of probiotics, since we started ds never has poop issues. I eat his leftovers, admitidly helped me too.

We used the culturelle. It helps a little bit. It made her poops less watery and more solid but it was still mushy.
