Has your house ever been hit by lightening?
Years back we were having a tupperware party at Mom's when we heard this tremendous BOOM!!! Bricks began flying by the living room window. My neighbor's chimney was hit by lightening and blew about the top five feet off of it!
My other friend was away for a week on business. When he came home, he found it strange that his outside lights were not on. When he opened the door, he was horrified to discover that lightening had hit his satellite dish (that's when they were HUUUGGEE) and blew out all the wiring in his house. His fridge, computer, TV, washer/dryer and all outlets were destroyed. I'm shocked the house didn't burn to the ground

When I was younger our CAC unit outside got hit by lightening. It was HOT!

yes, my parents house. It burned the side of the house a little bit and blew out our TV's & computers. It was so weird!! This was about 8 yrs ago

It seems my building was struck by lightening today. We were ok but parts of the building lost power and the elevator went out.

Twice.
My parents house in Nashville was hit the day they put it on the market to move back to NY in 85 - The lightening went right dow our chimmeny and blew most of the chimmeny into our den. It blew every single electric appliance in our home.
My parents home in NY was hit again just a minor hit about 3 years after the first incident.

No but my cousin was hit by lightening a few weeks ago in Georgia. He's been fine as of a week later, but everyone was insisting that he go to the doctor to get checked out.

the house i grew up in wasnt hit, but the tree in the backyard was and it fell down, just missing the house.
