There's actually an entire group dedicated to it, with different variations of it etc. on Ravelry.

I wanted to knit it but I decided to do the garter stitch kimono instead and also the Easy Baby Cardigan. I may do the BSJ eventually.

I can't wait to see how yours comes out Chat Icon

Re: has anyone knit Elizabeth Zimmerman's Baby Surprise Jacket?

i have her book, the opinionated knitter. the way she originally wrote the pattern is not the way most patterns are written, today. so it took a little thinking.

i did check out the group on ravelry, they have soooooooo much information!!!

i decided to jump in.
i'm on row 20, and so far so good... i'm about to start some striping... although, i have no idea what i'll do with the stripes lol

i'll make sure to post pictures, when i finish the thing Chat Icon

I've never heard of this pattern so I googled it. (If you select images, you'll see a ton of variations for this pattern.) It really looks neat.

I particularly liked the version in this blog.

The sweater looks familiar to me. I'm wondering if my mom might have made something like this over the years for either my sister, me or as a gift.

But either way, it's a very cute sweater. I can't wait to see yours.
