Sorry, no help with the seminar part of it but I cannot stand him.Chat Icon

He misdiagnosed my DDs reflux as an infant and told me nothing was wrong with her. He has a horrible bedside manner and actually called me crazy .Chat Icon
He even made me feel like a horrible mother and made me cry.

Several months later we saw another GI dr. and found out DD has severe reflux with redness and erosion in her espophogus (sp.?) because of lack of proper treatment early on!!!! She is still going through stuff at almost 3 yrs. old

Sorry so long and I know this is JMO but I do not like that man and wouldn't trust anything he has to say at all!!!!

He is a total JERK - we saw him when DD had severe reflux and he told me BF was only for 3rd world countries after the baby was 1 months old there was NO medical benefit - and in the US there was NO need to BF - (he wanted me to give DD#2 some formula b.c she wasn't gaining quite where they felt she should although my ped said he wasn't really concerned since she was about 3-4 ounces from where they wanted her - and that a baby won't starve to just let her go as long as it takes even 1-2 days was okay for her to take a bottle - MUCH longer story - but refused to tell me what formula to try bc she needed would need special formula but he deferred EVERYTHING to my ped then told my ped that he told me everything I needed to know.)

Anyway - While I wouldn't recommend him as a GI - I HAVE heard he is supposed to be the "big" person around here for helping with late potty training and training children with special needs. He isn't warm and friendly so I have a hard time seeing that but....that is the rep I have heard.

I went to the seminar since my now 4 and 1/2 year old holds in poop and was not potty trained when we saw him. We met with him every month for a year and had my son on ex lax to break his "stool witholding" problem. I hated meeting him every month and would send my DH to go with my DS. I am so happy not to be dealing with him anymore.
