Has ANYONE had ANY good experience with...

a recruiter?

Seriously, every one that I have went to in the past has not been good. I finally went to another one in October (before I got laid off) and she promised me she was different (hmm..sounds like a relationship, lol).

Shes never called me and I've always had to call her...

Please dont move! TIA!

I did... by accident. I applied for a 'job' or so I thought and it ended up being a recruiter. They had me come in for a test and I scored well and then the first interview they signed me up for I was offered the job. I went on a 2nd interview the same day but went back to the 1st company and accepted (they were both in the world financial center- Manhattan).

I did. I posted my resume on monster or career builder. The recruiter contacted me within 12 seconds of me posting it. I had to meet with them twice. I did loads of weird tests and had mock interviews. After that they sent me on a actual interview. I was offered the first job I interviewed for.

I use recruiters almost exclusively when I job search. I have had excellent luck. Career Blazers and Lloyd are very good.

i've never had a good experience with a recruiter. i got the feeling that they just tried to send as many candidates as possible to these places, never mind that they (me) weren't a good fit, skill-set wise. or once i was told that i was being considered for a position that focuses on travel accounts. when i got there, i was given inccorect information as it was actually for food accounts (which i have no experience in.) Dh found his job thru a recruiter though, so thats good.

With recruiters you are the soup of the day. If you have the skills for a job they currently have and present well they will work with you like crazy. If you don't for the jobs they are working on then it will go nowhere.

I have established some good relationships with recruiters over the years. We keep in touch.

Career blazers got me my current job. They negotiated my salary for me and really did well.
