Has anyone ever bought anything fake off of ebay?

..and paid a good amount for it thinking it's real? I've just been "had" on something and I'm going through paypal and my credit card in order to obtain a refund. The seller will not refund me sticking by her item saying it's 100% authentic (and that she wearing Gucci Fendi Prada and would NEVER sell anything fake b/c she wouldn't wear it blah blah blah).

I'm upset about all of this - anyone have any advice for me or stories of successful endings?

Yes I sent many threatening emails to report them to ebay. And I mean many many emails. I got all my money back except for shipping. I think he was sick of dealing with me. I would report her to ebay.

I bought a fake fendi a few years ago. It was months before I realized it, and I was so mad, but I didnt do anything. Maybe I still can??

my friend bought a coach bag off of ebay. when she finally got it in the mail, it was a completely different color and style. not only that but it was such a horrible fake coach bag! she emailed the seller and they never responded. the return address label on the package was hand-written in chinese. she reported them to ebay and i think paypal and eventually got her money back. definately report it to ebay. good luck

Ebay has a very strict policy about selling knock-offs and fakes....and they have a zero tolerance for it. Open an item dispute, and if you have proof (letter) from a store stating it's fake, you have a case (a very strong one.) Since you fortunately paid with paypal - you will get your money (minus shipping) back.

I only sell real stuff- mainly used bags and shoes- and I can't even tell you how many chinese supplier contact me when I have one of my auctions up- and they do it thru the ask a question format- so annoying

I always respond leave me alone and then I get an alert from ebay that I have contacted someone that has been deactivated

I bought a Cartier bag about 6+ years ago. It was such a piece of crap! But I didn't pay much for it, so it wasn't worth the hassel of disputing it.

3+ years ago I purchased a Balenciaga City bag from a seller with great feedback. As soon as I opened the box I could tell by the smell of the "leather" that it was a bad knockoff. The abridged version: I contacted the seller and she agreed to refund my money.

Both those experiences should be filed under the "Too good to be true" theory.

I am disputing the claim w/ my credit card and through paypal.com. My credit card said to send the bag back and keep proof?

I think I might go to the store in the city and get a document saying it is indeed fake before returning it. It's a good fake - but not for the amount of money I spent on it.

What angers me SO much is that it has all the hardware that the authentic bags have. The inside is supposed to be suede - it's pigskin.

are you sure the store will authenticate it? Many retailers won't get involved with that.
