I have an Earth Day story....when I was living in Spain my sister and 5-year-old niece came to visit me. We got an apartment on the Costa del Sol for a weekend. In Spain kids go to the bars so we were out at a bar where they had karaoke. There were a lot of British ex-pats there and some were a bit tipsy. So my niece wanted to sing the Earth Day song they taught her in scool. The bartender gave her the mike and stood her up on the bar. She sings her song and this tipsy lady is like "Oh honey it's your birthday!! Happy birthday!" and Michaela says "No, it's EARTH day - not BIRTH day.." and the woman just could not get it and kept wishing her happy birthday - probably 10 times - and Mich tried so hard to explain.... My niece was so upset, she wanted everyone to celebrate EARTH day. She could understand the Spanish not understanding her, but this woman was English..!
