Great vacation place for kids and adults?

Next year will be my parents 40th wedding anniversary and my sister and I want to plan a big family vacation for them. Her DD's will be about 4 years and 18 months. My DS will be about 22 months.

Any suggestions on places where everyone will have a good time?

TIA

What about a cruise? Plenty for both kids and adults to do. Disney and Royal Caribbean are especially family friendly.

The cruises don't really have anything for kids under 3, right?

Any suggestions on nice places to rent houses? We have done the Outer Banks. My dad would come with a pool requirement. That is all he likes to do.

It may be 2, but irregardless, it is tough. Either DH or I had to stay in the room with him by oursevles.

We are going to Captiva in July with DH's family, I am about to go to bed, but I can FM you tomorrow with the link to the website.

And there is a pool in this houseChat Icon

Re: Great vacation place for kids and adults?

My dream vacation for our family (and family friends) is Beaches. But it's pricey.. so if you don't have a fairly big budget it might not be the right place for you. The only reason we haven't gone is the price.Chat Icon

Re: Great vacation place for kids and adults?

Rent a big beach house..You can't go wrong. We have done this on the Jersey Shore, Fire Island and the Hamptons.

My favorite by far is the jersey Shore. You can get a great house with a yard, be within walking distance to the beach, and then be close to shopping restaurants and other activities.

We stayed on Long Beach Island in Beach Haven. Check it out, it was a great time.
