Great Article I read - Mad At Dad

I remember all too well getting mad at DH for being "able" to "ignore" Logan and not doing things my way.

I know a lot of us have or had these issues and I thought this article was really good:

http://www.parenting.com/article/Mom/Relationships/Mad-At-Dad-Part-Two-How-to-Get-Past-the-Anger

It's about getting past the anger and making things better.

Re: Great Article I read - Mad At Dad

It's so true. I get on DH for things - a lot of things when I probably shouldn't. I'm a control freak and a HUGE multitasker and I'll get upset with him if it's not done my way even though he's trying to help.

I just wish I had the ability to let things go like he does. Dishes in the sink do not bother him and he'll go off and play video games meanwhile I can't even attempt to sit down and relax if they aren't cleaned or put in the dishwasher.

Basically I don't necessarily wish he would change or help out more, I wish that I was more empathetic about trivial stuff - but I'm not.

Great original article and I can 100% relate...but Part-Two I'm not thrilled about...no matter what, I feel like you can't teach old dog new tricks...my husband does zero around the house...absolute zero, BUT, I don't expect him to bc he works crazy hours sometimes...for example, for the past three days he only slept for appx. 8 hours. How can I possibly expect him to take care of his "load". So in my case, I get to take care of it all. But I have learned to let go...I found a wonderful laundry service, I have my dry cleaning picked up and delivered, and I have my groceries delivered. I'm looking for a cleaning person now...so for now I still have to clean my house in the evenings. DS is in daycare so I devote ALL of my free time to him and do things after he goes to sleep. We walk Max with DS before I drop him off to daycare and after I pick him up. My lunch hours are MINE howeverChat Icon I go shopping, get my manis and pedis, or just go out and read my book. Life is hectic, but we both have goals, individual and joint that we're trying to accomplish. Sundays are the best though! We spend time together as a family and truly enjoy each other to the fullest.
