Got call from Photographers from hospital??
They called and said they will come to my house, do a free shoot and I get a free 5x7, I don't need to buy anything else if I don't want.
Anyone do this? Do they take good pics? Or is this a total scam??

I think PrincessMariss did it and I remember her saying it was SUPER expensive but that she was happy with the photos.

Yea -they did a great job- but it was very expensive- and they dont take "no" very easily-
I got the cheapest pkg and added a 10X13 and it was $470

I got one too (Huntington Hospital?) I didn't think he did a great job & than tried to sell me on them saying "I'll never get a picture like that again."

Actually, these photographers are NOT recommended by the hospital. There is no affiliation whatsoever. My mother is an RN in a hospital Nursery and I questioned her about it when I had my daughter. Most likely, these people got your name from BRU or some other baby list, not from your hospital. But they make it sound like they are from the hospital.
If your hospital does take pictures, they do it in the hospital and you are under no obligation to buy them. The photographers that call and come to your home just want you to think the hospital recommends them. I personally didn't use anyone that came to my home.

Hmmmm- the people (company) who took DS pic in the hospital- are the same company who came to my house-
The pkg- phone numbers- everything is the same!

we did it at 2 weeks and spent like 250 bucks for pics and one of those 5 pic thingies...
I have to say it was worth it. The woman took 3 minutes to take like 8 shots and was awesome...I would have never taken her out to get that done and I was happy to have the first professional ones that early...here are two I have on my computer...

I have told these people that we're not interested on the phone several times. Christopher is 14 months old and they STILL call. In fact they called last week
"But you have a free 8 X10!" Give it to somebody else I know I'd end up being suckered into paying lots of extra money.

Seems like it is $$, but otherwise I wouldn't take him out until he was at least 3 months to one of the picture places. I guess I will think about it!

Nat--I never got anything about that after I had Julia. It sounds expencive though.....I LOVE your avatar pic of Dominic he is such a beautiful baby boy!
