Got a positive OPK today! And Mucinex Q?
FINALLY! I'm CD21--seeing some EWCM too. I just popped a mucinex--I know many of you take them for a while before hand, but do you think I'll see any improvement last minute?

It's an OTC expectorant to loosen up mucus when you're sick--it works to thin CM too. The active ingredient guaifenesin is also what is in regular robitussin. Lots of girls take these around O time.

Sure - the active ingredient in mucinex is effective for up to four hours.

it probably takes about 3-4 hours to really get into your system, BUT, I took one about an hour before BD this cycle, anyway, cause why not?
It lasts for 12 hours but its peak effect is probably somewhere around 8 hours, if this helps you plan ahead for the next couple of days

Lol - mine lasted for four b/c I bought the cheapo brand. But I guess the "real" stuff lasts longer!

Thanks ladies! I have the 12hr kind--took it at 5:45--will probably BD around 9, so I guess I'm good. Fingers crossed!!!

sounds perfect... this may be TMI but I can always tell when its kicked in because my CM starts to smell like the mucinex... its kinda gross actually
