goodie bags for 9 year olds???

do i make them still for my son's party? and what do i put in them??

For my step dtr and my son for the past 2-3yrs (they just turned 11 & 10) I usually have them do a craft with the rest of the kids at the party and wrapt it up and that's there goodie bag.

just wanted to add- dh makes fun of me for doing it because he says they're getting too old for that, and when ever my son goes to a party he hasn't come home with a goodie bag for some time now.

My DS has been going to parties where the goodie bag ends up being 1 decent item instead of a bunch of small trinkets. He went to one yesterday and the goodie was a dinosaur T shirt and small keyring compass. He also went to another where they got a Pirates treasure chest to paint - it came with a small set of paints.

I love these ideas, more useful and probably less costly in the end. Not necessarily these particular things for a 9 yr old but one nice item. Dont they all love Star wars and such?
